The Project
The Nuclear Institute were previously on the ground floor at Yarmouth Place, London. Nifty were moving the Nuclear Institute to their new home on the second floor of Phoenix House on Friday 30th November 2018
The team met Sarah from the Nuclear Institute at Yarmouth Place on Friday. Following introductions, they immediately conduct a full sweep of the building. Nifty’s foreman was responsible for documenting the status of the building prior to the move. This includes any damage to the buildings and belongings, as well as taking photos.
First of all, it was necessary to protect the doors, hotspot walls and floors before any moving could begin. Following the protection protocol, it was then necessary to prioritise carefully packing all the IT equipment. Once the equipment was securely in crates, the team began loading them on to the van. With the IT equipment safely on board, the team loads the remaining crates and boxes and sets off.
Approximately 30 minutes thereafter, the team arrive at Phoenix House. They carry out a similar protection protocol, ensuring additional protection around the building lift. And so, the unpacking commences and all the IT equipment moves to the second floor.
Once everything was in its rightful place, the team accompanies Sarah for a walk-around of the building. Sarah noted that Nifty ‘gave us confidence to have the visual check of our premises before the quote/move.’ Sarah also commented that the Nuclear Institute received ‘Very good service’ from Nifty Business Movers.
